This work was designed as a final project for my artistic woodworking studies.
There are different technics combined: wood carving, gilding and leather work.

The inspiriration for this piece was to make a tribute to the old shoe and clog artisans, whose work was replaced by the machines after the industrial revolution.
I used two stylistic trends for this purpose: steampunk and biomechanic.
There are also two sheep's sacrums carved at the back of each clog.

I used Tilia (lime tree) wood, so even that the platform is quite big they're actually very light. (and they're very comfortable! :P)

Yes, they're very comfortable! :) At least to me as I designed them with my feet measures xD
I've thought about that, but I don't have access to the machinery I'd need anymore, so maybe one day when I have my own workshop...:P
